Hi everyone,
In this post, I wanted to share a recipe for one of the most popular bread in South Korea these days, “Salted Bread”. Many bakeries in the USA make the bread, even at 85 degrees. If you like the soft texture of bread and the salty buttery flavor, you would love it. To be honest, it is not easy to make it at home, but I highly recommend you try to make it if you like baking. I filmed it as a video for the first time because it would be much more helpful if you wanted to follow my recipe. My video is not that good quality. I will try to create better next time haha. I hope you enjoy it. Let’s get it!!!
Estimated Time: 2 ~ 3 hours
Serving Size: 3 servings
INGREDIENTS:
- 200g Bread Flour (I used all-purpose flour, but mixing cake and bread flour would be much better)
- 50g Cake Flour
- 20g Coconut Sugar (You can use regular sugar instead. I used coconut sugar because it is healthier.)
- 1 tsp (5g) Salt
- 1 tsp (4g) Dry Yeast
- 170g Milk
- 20g Unsalted Butter (For Dough)
- 50g Unsalted Butter (For Filling)
- 1 Egg Yolk (For Egg Wash)
- 2g Thick Salt (For Garnish)
