Tottenham will have the 8th match game against Leicester City tomorrow at Tottenham’s home stadium.
Tottenham is ranked 3rd and Leicester City 20th in the League. Leicester City is falling down so hard this season. The club is the only one that has never won any games yet this season. They are losing 5 games straight after the club drew against Brentford in the Premier League. In contrast, Tottenham is not losing any games in the Premier League. Leicester even lost against Southampton which was ranked 15th the last season. Leicester was ranked 8th the last season.
What is going on at Leicester City?
The problem isn’t just the manager. The club has no true left-back and right-winger at all. After the club sold Fofana and Schmeichel, they don’t have a solid central defense and goalkeeper. Vardy is getting too old now. However, the club doesn’t have any solid strikers who can replace him. As a result, the club has solid players in the middle side only, Tielemans, Maddison, and Barnes. The worst point is the owner of Leicester City is not assisting the manager at all even though the club’s lineup needs to be improved.
The club was the one of earned a positive net spend in the 2022 summer in the Premier League. Man City and Brighton earned more than spent because they sold players very well, but signed solid players as well. Leicester sold Fofana with overpaid but didn’t sign any solid players. I understand that they sold Fofana very end of the market, but they still spent too little this summer.
The former owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, had a passion for football but died in an unfortunate helicopter crash outside their stadium. His son took over the sit of the owner, but he doesn’t have any passion for it. It seems he doesn’t want to spend any money on the club but is about to sell it. The club won’t even sack the manager because there is a big penalty in money. The club will remain the same unless the owner sells it to a person who has a passion for football. We might see Leicester City gets relegated this season.
Anyway, many sites are predicting Tottenham will win against Leicester City.
The reason why is Tottenham is winning the last 3 games against Leicester. Tottenham is winning the 7 games in the last 9 games since 2018 against Leicester. Tottenham lost only one game against Leicester at Tottenham’s home since 2018.
I am pretty sure that Tottenham will win against Leicester City tomorrow even though Tottenham played bad against Sporting CP this weekday. Leicester’s atmosphere is even worse than the last season.
I also wish Conte places Ryan Sessegnon as a left-wing back instead of Perisic and placed Perisic as a right-wing back instead of Royal. I know Perisic is a high-class player, but he seems not a good combination with Heung Min Son. He is actually killing Son… Since he is a two-footed player, he would play well on the right side, at least better than Royal for sure.
