[PREMIER LEAGUE] Tottenham vs Fulham Match Report

Tottenham had a game against Fulham at Tottenham’s home. I expected Tottenham would have a tough game today against Fulham because Fulham’s performance, especially Mitrovic was very great this season. The club won against Brighton, Brentford, drawn to Liverpool, and Fulham, and lost to only Arsenal so far. Even though the club was just promoted to the Premier League, they were not easy to be beaten. However, Tottenham showed the best performance today so far this season. Let’s see what happened today!

Tottenham’s Line-up:

Tottenham brought out the same formation, but Richarlison, Romero, Lenglet, and Sessegnon were in the first team instead of Kulusevski, Sanchez, Davies, and Perisic. It was Richarlison and Lenglet’s first team game in Tottenham and they did really great!

Conte played a 4-2-4 transformed formation during attacking until last week, but their performance was not good enough even though they didn’t lose. Only two midfielders and 4 forwards were over-balanced, and since Son and Perisic are has a similar play style, they weren’t a good combination. Therefore, Conte put it back to what they did great in the last season. That’s why today’s performance was great.

Fulham brought out a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Tottenham’s first goal:

At 40 minutes, Hojbjerg played a one-two pass with Richarlison to skip into the box and finished it calmly into the bottom left corner.

Tottenham’s second goal:

At 75 minutes, Sessegnon drove out into the box while smashing Fulham’s defender, and he shot straight at Leno. Leno blocked it, but it rebounded for Kane who finished from close range.

Fulham’s goal:

Mitrovic who scored 5 goals in the last five games was invisible until their first goal was scored because their middle side couldn’t skip Tottenham’s blocks and pass to him. At 83 minutes, Fulham’s defender delivered a long distance pass to Mitrovic who was in the box and he beat Romero and shot into the top right corner.

Today’s Man of the Match was Harry Kane who sealed Tottenham’s second goal. The best player in Fulham was Mitrovic who scored their only goal. Mitrovic scored 6 goals in the last 6 games so far. He is doing really great.

Heung Min Son’s First Goal?

I was expecting Son’s first goal today. I could see his form was almost getting back. He showed the best performance this season, but couldn’t score. His pass accuracy was 97% and made 5 key passes. He had a couple of great chances to score, but Fulham’s goalkeeper, Leno blocked it so much… Leno is Son’s best friend because they were playing in the same Bundesliga club and hung out together a lot. Leno, why didn’t you just not block it:(((( Anyway, I think he can score in the next game against Man City if he keeps up the performance since he is a Man City killer.

Tottenham won 4 games, 2 drew, and ranked 3th.

Fulham won 2 games, 2 drawn, 2 lost, and ranked 10th.
