[TRANSFER NEWS] How did Tottenham go through the summer?

In this summer, Tottenham signed 7 players + permanent transfer with Romero. 1 forward, 1 midfielder, 3 wing-backs, 1 goalkeeper, and 1 Lenglet. The club spent $186.89m which was ranked 4th in the top spending European clubs.

Conte wanted the club to sign at least 6 player in the summer so Levy made him to calm down.

After the transfer market was closed, Conte said he like what the club did for him, but the club is still behind Man City and Liverpool. I agree with him. Tottenham had to sign one more creative midfielder and centre-back. I guess Tottenham should spend more transfer markets to rebuild the team and follow up the top teams. I hope Levy trusts in Conte and spend more money for him.

Anyway, Tottenham was trying to sign a Ukrainian forward, Ruslan Malinovskyi from Atalanta as their last signing of the summer. However, Atalanta called too high fee on him. That’s why Tottenham failed to sign him, and they will try in the winter season again.

One more topic to mention is Tottenham’s winger, Bryan Gil was mad at Tottenham in this summer. He was expecting to play in Valencia as a loan again, but Tottenham blocked him because they wanted to sign another winger before sending him out. The club needed to make the decision very carefully, in case they might need him since the club will play a lot of games in this season. However, Gil will stay in a bench most time. He was disappointing it, he wanted to play in the first team, and I think LaLiga is more fit for him. I hope Tottenham sign another creative forward or midfielder in this winter transfer market so Gil can go to other clubs to play regularly.

How do you rate Tottenham’s signings?

I would rate 7 out of 10. It was the best summer in 5 years for Tottenham.

Thank you reading:)
