According to the world-class football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Wolves successfully reached to sign Metheus Nunes from the Portugal football club league, Primeira Liga, Sporting for a $50m fee plus other options. FYI, Sporting is Cristiano Ronaldo’s first professional football club at age of 16. Anyway, Matheus Nunes is a 23-year-old, professional Portuguese football player, who plays as a midfield or attacking midfielder.
Why do Wolves want to sign Nunes?
Because Wolves has quite not enough good quality of midfielders. In their first team squad, the midfielders are included: Morgan Gibbs-White, Leander Dendoncker, Daniel Podence, and Ruben Neves. I believe Nunes would play better than them except Neves. Wolves will stick with Nunes and Neves for the first team.

Nunes’s preferred foot is right and his strengths are dribbling, ball control, fast, reaction, passing, and positioning. His weaknesses are crossing and heading. He is 183cm or 6″,but skinny. He is very talented, so Man City and Liverpool were also interested in signing him. However, Nunes chose to join Wolves because he can play in the first team squad. Portugal has great midfielders these days including Bruno Fernades, Bernardo Silva, and Ruben Neves.
Do you think he would be the next best midfielder after Fernades and Silva from Portugal?
