Ivan Perisic, 33-year-old, was born on Feburary 2, 1989 in Croatia, Split and grew up in Croatia, Omis. He can play as a winger, attacking midfielder, second striker, and left & right wing back. His major foot is right, but he can even use left foot as a major foot. Therefore, we can play as a left & right winger and wing back. He was grew up in Hajduk Split and Shochaux youth academies in Croatia. Club Brugge, Belgia, offered him for 255k dollars of transfer fee and a 3 year contract. He agreed it and won the Belgian Pro League Top Goalscorer with 22 goals and was also named Belgian Footballer of the Year for 2011.
On May 23, 2011, he signed a five-year contract to play for Borussia Dortmund, German. He was doing under Dortmind manager, Jurgen Klopp, but he was not the first team unfortunately. He had a complaint that he doesn’t play in the first team regularly. He told he doesn’t support from team and Klopp, the Crotian channel Nova TV. Klopp didn’t feel happy with it and said Perisic made a childish action.
On January 6, 2013, he moved to VfL Wolfsburg with 8,170k dollars trasfer fee wtih a three-year contract. He faced his former club Dortmund, scored two goals on May. He finished the season with ten league goals.
On August, 2015, he signed with Italian club Inter Milan for a five-year contract with 16,340k dollars transfer fee. He debut for the club three days after signing against a rival team, Milan. He finished with 9 league goals, 6 assists, and playing 37 matches on the first season. He scored 11 goals on the 2016-17 season. He made a 100th appearance on the 2017-18 season. He played his first Champions League game for Inter on September 18, 2018, and victory over Tottenham Hotspur (It is his club now.) On January, 2019, Arsenal attempted to sign Perisic and he agreed, but Inter didn’t approve it. If it was made, Tottenham might not bring him to the club haha.
Antonio Conte became a manager of Inter on end of the 2018-19 season. Perisic struggled to fit into the new manager’s system during pre-season because Conte usually prefer 3 back formation, but Perisic didn’t fit it in. His weak point is dribble. He is kind of clunky. If he is good at dribble, he might be played as a attacking midfielder. By the way, on August 13, 2019, Perisic joined German club Bayern Munich on a season-long loan. Bayern had the option of signing Perisic on a permanent deal in the 2020 season. He did pretty well in the club and became the eleventh Croatian to win the Champions Leauge in history. However, Bayern failed to sign him on permanent deal, after failing to negotiate a deal with Inter. He returned to Inter on the 2020-21 season.
Many people expected Intern to send him to other clubs on loan. But, he succefully changed his role to wing-back from winger. He was finally fit in Conte’s squad. He won a torphy of the Italia Seria A with Conte.
Intern wanted to sign extended contracts with Perisic, but they didn’t have enough money to pay him because of COVID-19 impact. His five-year contract was over on 2022 and moved to Tottenham with a free agent. He will play with Conte again the next season, 2022-23. I would say Tottenham is very luck to have him with a free agent. Of course, he is pretty old as a football player, but he can still run a full-time game with a great energy. His great point is energize and a great cross. One of weak points of Tottenham is a poor crossing. Tottenham has 5 wing backs, but all of them have a poor crossing. Tottenham even have the world best striker with a great header, Harry Kane, but no one could cross him well haha. It was sad, but now we have a great crossing wing back. YEAH!!!
As you can see this, he doesn’t have weak foot and his attacking stats are awesome since his main position is winger. He also has a great crossing! He can cover Son Heung Min’s position if he gets injury or staying on bench for rest. His dribbling is good too. I heard his dribble is bad, but I have no clue. His defending stats are not bad too. Conte prefer attacking wing back, not a strong defensing wing back. That’s why he was the first time in Intern. I am pretty sure he will help Son Heung Min to have a winning trophy!

오늘은 페리시치에 대해 알아보았다. 그의 약점은 드리블이 좋지 않다는 점이다. 약간 둔탁한 발놀림을 가지고 있다. 하지만 좋은 크로스와 박스 안으로 침투도 잘하고 공격과 수비를 자주 왔다갔다할 수 있는 철관왕 체력을 가지고 있다. 이미 나이가 33세이지만 나이가 무색하게 아직도 풀타임 게임을 소화할 수 있는 체력을 가지고 있다. 모드리치처럼 자기 관리를 굉장히 잘한 것 같다. 현재 토트넘에 있는 윙백들 중 가장 영향력과 클래스 있는 선수이고 세세뇽과 제드 스펜스가 페리시치를 보고 잘 성장해주길 바래본다.
